Ramapo Police Arrest Sloatsburg Man On Drug Charges RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police arrested a Sloatsburg resident on drug charges Wednesday evening. The arrest came after a member of the Ramapo Police Department’s Anti-Crime Team stopped a vehicle in Sloatsburg for a traffic infraction, according to officials. After further investigation, it was discovered that the driver was in possession of marijuana, hypodermic needles, and several stamp bags that tested positive for heroin, police report. 29-Year-Old Charged With DWI, Possessing Heroin In Jefferson Valley YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have charged a 29-year-old resident of Mahopac with driving while his ability was impaired by drugs, along with multiple other offenses, following a traffic stop in Jefferson Valley. Fairfield Market On The Green Rescheduled For Fall FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce has rescheduled its Market on the Green, originally slated for the weekend of June 11 and 12 on the Old Town Hall Green. The market will now be a one-day event, held on Sunday, Oct. 30. The Old Town Hall Green will remain the venue. Plans are in the works to incorporate additional activities and attractions to make the market a broader, community-wide event. Man Driving Erratically On Route 45 Charged With DWI, Sheriff's Office Says ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office charged a 40-year-old resident of Chestnut Ridge with DWI on Sunday. A patrol officer observed the suspect, identified as Shane Coughlin, operating a motor vehicle on Route 45 in an erratic manner, according to officials. Coughlin was found to be intoxicated, and was arrested, police report. The defendant was processed at Sheriff's Headquarters in New City, and released on summonses to return to Ramapo Justice Court, according to officials.
