Man Driving Erratically On Route 45 Charged With DWI, Sheriff's Office Says ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office charged a 40-year-old resident of Chestnut Ridge with DWI on Sunday. A patrol officer observed the suspect, identified as Shane Coughlin, operating a motor vehicle on Route 45 in an erratic manner, according to officials. Coughlin was found to be intoxicated, and was arrested, police report. The defendant was processed at Sheriff's Headquarters in New City, and released on summonses to return to Ramapo Justice Court, according to officials.
