Greenwich Conservancy Holding Annual Tree Party GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Tree Conservancy is holding its annual Tree Party on Arbor Day, Friday, April 29, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at McArdle's Greenhouse on Arch Street. The theme of this year’s celebration is “In Honor of Trees and Those Who Help Us Grow,” in recognition of the supporters and members of the Conservancy who have helped it plant over 2,400 trees on public property in Greenwich in the last nine years. 14 Hospitalized After Carbon Monoxide Scare In Westchester NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Fourteen people staying at a North Avenue residence for Passover were taken to area hospitals to have their blood-oxygen levels checked after a carbon monoxide alarm went off on Saturday morning at about 4:30 a.m., according to multiple reports. New Canaan Crew Medals In 11 Events In Season Opening Regatta NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The New Canaan Crew team started its spring sprint season by bringing home medals in 11 events at the Mercer Lake Sculling Championships held April 16 and 17 at Mercer Lake Park, West Windsor, N.J. The Mercer Lake regatta features high school-age athletes from throughout the northeast and mid-Atlantic states racing in 30 2,000-meter events. Approximately 50 rowers from New Canaan Crew competed. North Arlington Holding Paper Shredding Event NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- The Borough of North Arlington will host a paper shredding event on Saturday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind Borough Hall in the rear parking lot. Bridgeport Police Seek Help Identifying Suspects In Attempted Robbery BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Bridgeport Police Robbery Squad is asking the public’s assistance in identifying two perpetrators responsible for an attempted robbery that occurred at the Beechmont Market Wednesday. The attempted robbery took place at approximately 8:53 p.m at the market located at 464 Beechmont Ave., according to police. Police Charge Buchanan Woman With Stealing From Sears YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have charged a 24-year-old resident of Buchanan for petty larceny, after an incident at Sears. Police responded to a report of a larceny from the store on Tuesday, April 16, according to officials. Man Fights With Police After Chase Ends In Carmel CARMEL, N.Y. -- New York State Police from Brewster have arrested a 36-year-old resident of Cochecton, N.Y., following a vehicle pursuit which began in Connecticut.
