Englewood Officials Dedicate Firehouse In Memory Of Former Councilman ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Englewood Mayor Frank Huttle III, members of the City Council and the Englewood Fire Department are inviting the public to the dedication ceremony of the Englewood Firehouse in memory of Jack Drakeford on Saturday, May 14, at 11 a.m. Drakeford, a former city councilman, died Aug. 2, 2012, at the age of 75. Light refreshments will be served at the dedication ceremony. Trumbull Library, Police Holding Bike Safety Day TRUMBULL, Conn. -- The Trumbull Library, 33 Quality Street, will be hosting Bike Safety Day with the Trumbull Police Bicycle Patrol on Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free family event is being held conjunction with Bicycle Safety Month. Those who come can have their photos taken with the police bikes. Safety tips, raffle prizes and giveaways will also be included. Along with the Trumbull Police Department, representatives of the Health Department and EMS will be on hand during the festivities.

Lenny Hunter Named Grand Marshal Of Darien Memorial Day Parade DARIEN, Conn. -- The Monuments and Ceremonies Commission of the Town of Darien has announced that Lenny Hunter, 67, has been named grand marshal of the 2016 Memorial Day Parade. Hunter was born in Stamford, one of 11 children, and joined the Army immediately after graduation from Stamford High School in 1967. Hunter served in Vietnam, along with four of his seven brothers – one in the Air Force and the other four in the Army. After his tenure with the 578th Signal Company in Vietnam in 1967-68, Hunter returned to civilian life, going to work for the Darien Post Office. He worked there…
