Darien Rep. Wood To Host Budget Discussion DARIEN, Conn. -- State Rep. Terrie Wood (R-141) will be hosting an in-depth budget analysis with the Connecticut Mirror’s budget reporter Keith Phaneuf on Tuesday, May 17, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the auditorium at the Darien Library, 1441 Post Road. The budget has been the most discussed topic this session, with each legislative caucus releasing multiple budget proposals, in addition to the three different proposals put forth by Gov. Dannel P. Teen Charged With Violating Order Of Protection In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have charged an 18-year-old resident of Mahopac with criminal contempt, after he allegedly violated an order of protection. Wayne Parks And Recreation Department Seeks Lifeguards WAYNE, N.J. -- The Wayne Department of Parks and Recreation is accepting applications for lifeguards and gate guards at the James Roe Pool and Kilroy Lake. Those hired are expected to work from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Employees under the age of 18 are required to provide working papers from their schools.
