YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have charged a 36-year-old resident of Peekskill with leaving her dog confined in a motor vehicle.
Police responded to a report of an unattended dog left in a vehicle in the Sears parking lot at 600 Lee Blvd. on Saturday, May 28, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officials report.
Officers located a small shih tzu inside a parked, unattended vehicle, according to police.
