Darien Library Telling 'Stories By The Sea' At Weed Beach
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Library, in conjunction with the Darien Parks and Recreation Department, will hold “Stories by the Sea,” a series of family story times, on Tuesdays throughout July and August from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Weed Beach.
The events, led by the children’s librarians, will include rhymes, songs, books and storytelling.
The first of the gatherings will take place on July 5.
Participants will need to provide a beach pass when entering the park.

Bridgeport Man Gets 4 Years In Federal Prison For Selling Heroin, Crack
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport resident was sentenced Monday by Chief U.S. District Judge Janet C. Hall in New Haven to 48 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for distributing heroin and crack cocaine, according to U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Deirdre M. Daly.
