First Responders, Community Come Together For Fort Lee Night Out
FORT LEE, N.J. -- Members of the community will have a chance to meet local police, fire, EMS and OEM personnel during the Fort Lee Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Jack Alter Fort Lee Community Center. The event will feature complimentary food, rides, face painting and a disc jockey. There will also be a 7 p.m screening of the movie "Zootopia." The community center is located at 1355 Inwood Terrace.

New Provost Named At Sacred Heart University In Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Woodbridge resident Rupendra Paliwal has been named provost and vice president of academic affairs at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. Putnam Hospital Center Earns Accreditation For Treatment Of Breast Disease
CARMEL, N.Y. -- Putnam Hospital Center was recently granted a three-year full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. The accreditation program is administered by the American College of Surgeons. BOGOTA, N.Y. -- Bogota’s weekly “Meet the Mayor” events take place each Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman. The meetings are open to any Bogota resident who wants to ask Keleman a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the borough. Putnam County Humane Society Holding Dog Wash
CARMEL, N.Y. -- The Putnam County Humane Society is holding its “Dog Wash Day of Summer” on Sunday, July 10, at the shelter, 68 Old Route 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Services offered include a bath for $15, Micro-chipping for $25 and nail-trimming for $15. Dogs brought to the event must be up to date on vaccinations, dog friendly and people friendly. Volunteers are also wanted for the event. Englewood Family Donates Art Cart To Hackensack Hospital Pediatric Unit
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center recently received an art cart donated by the Gribetz Family of Englewood through ArtWorks: The Naomi Cohain Foundation. Tali Gribetz raised $5,000 from her Bat Mitzvah and through her friends and family to launch the custom-designed mobile cart filled with art supplies and a special bulletin board to display patients’ drawings and paintings. Rockland Teen Faces Multiple Charges After Altercation With Police
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police have arrested a 19-year-old resident of Monsey on obstruction and drug charges after a physical altercation with the suspect. The incident stemmed from a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation in New Hempstead on Friday evening at about 7 p.m., police report. Based upon the officers’ observations, the stop turned into a drug investigation, and the driver of the vehicle became uncooperative, according to officials. RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Town of Ridgefield will hold its annual fireworks display on Monday, the Fourth of July, at Ridgefield High School. The event is sponsored by Fairfield County Bank. FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- With thousands of drivers planning to travel during the long holiday weekend, Connecticut state troopers are also preparing to patrol in increased numbers to keep roads and highways safe.
