Grant Tinker, Stamford native and former NBC executive who made his mark in television in the 1970s and '80s with "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," which he launched with his former wife, and "Hill Street Blues" among many others, died Tuesday in Los Angeles. according to multiple sources. He was 90.

Port Chester High School Students Perform In NY Music Festival
PORT CHESTER, N. Y. -- Eight students from Port Chester High School, which serves parts of Port Chester and Rye Brook, performed in the annual New York State School Music Association's Area All-State Music Festival Nov. 10 at Purchase College in Harrison.
Vocalists Gisella McCallion, soprano; Taylor Masi, alto; and Robert Perrone, tenor; performed with the Area All-State Mixed Choir. Also, Elizabeth Montemurro, soprano; and Isabella Rios, alto; were chosen to sing with the Area All-State Women’s Choir.
