Englewood Cliffs Tennis, Basketball Courts Being Renovated ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. -- Englewood Cliffs is renovating the tennis and basketball courts at Witte Field. During the project, all courts will be closed, and entry into the area will be prohibited. Both the tennis and basketball courts are scheduled to re-open Labor Day weekend. The basketball courts on Birch Street, along with the tennis courts on Hudson Terrace, still are open for residential use. For the safety of everyone, officials are asking residents to adhere to all signs posted in the area.

Peekskill Man Sentenced For Selling Heroin That Killed 23-Year-Old WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A Peekskill man was sentenced Thursday to 186 months in prison for conspiring to distribute more than a kilogram of heroin in and around Westchester County during 2014, and distributing the heroin and fentanyl that resulted in the overdose death of a 23-year-old man, according to Preet Bharara, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. First Responders, Community Come Together For Fort Lee Night Out FORT LEE, N.J. -- Members of the community will have a chance to meet local police, fire, EMS and OEM personnel during the Fort Lee Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Jack Alter Fort Lee Community Center. The event will feature complimentary food, rides, face painting and a disc jockey. There will also be a 7 p.m screening of the movie "Zootopia." Spring Valley Man Charged With Criminal Impersonation In Stony Point STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Stony Point police charged a 26-year-old resident of Spring Valley with criminal impersonation following a vehicle and traffic stop Thursday, authorities said. The suspect, identified as Russel Hardy, was arrested after an investigation into an attempt to cash a fraudulent check at the Chase bank in Stony Point, according to officials. Ramapo Police Charge Business Manager With Violating Town Alarm Law RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police charged a local business manager with violating the town’s alarm law on Thursday, authorities said. The charge came about after police had responded more than 15 separate times to the business for false alarm activations, according to officials. Nyack Man Arrested For DWI In Stony Point STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Stony Point police have charged a 22-year-old Nyack man with multiple DWI and traffic-related offenses. The suspect, identified as Misael A. Velasquez, was arrested after a vehicle and traffic stop revealed he was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on Wednesday, police reported. Velasquez submitted to a chemical test, which showed a BAC of .16 percent, according to officials. The suspect, identified as Stephanie Moore, was arrested on Tuesday, July 19, on an active warrant out of Stony Point, police report. Suffern Woman Charged With DWI In Stony Point STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Stony Point police have charged a 26-year-old resident of Suffern with DWI. The suspect, identified as Stefanie Siegel, was arrested after an accident investigation determined the she was operating a motor vehicle while her New York State driver’s license was suspended, police report. Siegal was arrested, processed and released on several traffic tickets returnable at a later date, according to officials.
