Ramapo Police Respond To Over 100 Calls For Help RAMAPO. N.Y. -- Ramapo police gave assistance in response to 107 incidents on Saturday. The incidents included nine medical emergencies, 19 alarm activations and seven fire calls, according to officials. Two arrests were made, both on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police report. Ramapo police also investigated three motor vehicle accidents on Saturday. One of the accidents, which occurred in Hillcrest, involved injuries, according to officials. Man Charged With DWI In Downtown Poughkeepsie Stop POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 37-year-old resident of Margaretville with DWI and other offenses after an incident in Poughkeepsie. The arrest came about when a member of the Sheriff's Office conducting a patrol observed a 2000 Volkswagen passing a red light on Main Street at the intersection with Perry Street on Saturday about 3:36 a.m., police report. Nyack Teen Facing Assault Charge After Punching Victim In Face, Police Say ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Orangetown police have arrested an 18-year-old resident of Nyack on an assault charge, following an altercation at a Nyack deli on South Broadway.
