Seen Him? Thief Nabs Over $1K Worth Of Perfume From Ulta Beauty On Long Island Police are asking for help in identifying a man seen on surveillance video stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from an Ulta Beauty store on Long Island. The theft occurred on Monday, Feb. 13, at the Ulta Beauty in Commack, located on Veterans Memorial Highway, according to Suffolk County Police. Detectives said the man stole approximately $1,100 worth of fragrances before fleeing in a silver sedan with Florida license plates. Where Is Bilal? Man's Disappearance In Capital Region Remains Mystery Year Later Police are renewing calls for tips one year after a man from the region disappeared. Saratoga County resident Bilal Ashfaq, age 21, of Halfmoon, was last seen on March 16, 2022, on Terminal Road in Halfmoon, not far from the Mohawk River, according to State Police. Relatives told investigators he went for a walk and never returned home. Ashfaq is described as an Indian male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and 225 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Driver Killed In Single-Car Crash On Long Island Highway A 48-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash on a Long Island highway. Troopers were called at around 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, with reports of a one-car crash on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Hempstead, south of exit M6, according to State Police. A preliminary investigation found that Alan Ricks, of North Babylon, was driving a 2013 Mercedes Benz northbound on the Meadowbrook State Parkway when he went off the roadway and struck multiple trees, flipping his car in the process. Child Rape: Man From Region Drove 40 Miles To Meet 13-Year-Old For Sex, Police Say A 26-year-old man from the region is behind bars after allegedly meeting an underage teen for sex. Greene County resident Michael Oquendo, of Castkill, was arrested Friday, March 10, for second-degree rape and other charges following a traffic stop in Albany County, according to Cohoes Police. Closure Scheduled For Portion Of Long Island Highway Scheduled roadwork on a Long Island highway could spell delays for drivers this week. In Hempstead, crews will close the ramp from northbound Wantagh State Parkway to westbound Southern State Parkway overnight Thursday, March 16, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, March 17, the Department of Transportation said.
