A popular TikTok star was shot and killed Thursday night, June 12, on the beach in Long Branch — just hours after posting what would become his final video.
Chrystopher Whyte, of North Brunswick, was found with a single gunshot wound near the shoreline by Pier Village shortly before 9 p.m., NJ Advance says, citing a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sun Min “Grace” Yoo Chan, an educational counselor from River Edge, was sentenced this week to five years in prison after pleading guilty to reckless manslaughter in the 2022 death of her 3-month-old son, NorthJersey.com reports. She must serve 85% of her sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

A three-car crash in Manchester Township left one woman hospitalized with serious injuries and sent another to the emergency room, authorities said.
The crash happened around 5:53 p.m. on Friday, June 13, at the intersection of State Highway 70 and Ridgeway Road, according to Manchester Police.
