YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 17-year-old from Mahopac on a larceny charge, police said. The arrest came about when officers responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody at Sears in the Jefferson Valley Mall, 600 Lee Blvd., on Saturday, police said. The suspect, a male whose name is being withheld due to possible youthful offender status, allegedly removed tags and packaging from items totaling $93.99, concealed the items on his person and exited the store with them, police said. YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 25-year-old resident of Buchanan on drug charges, authorities said. The arrest came about when officers responded to a report of a suspicious incident on Crompond Road on Monday around midnight, according to officials.
