Monroe Library Offering Miniature Boat Building Craft MONROE, Conn. -- In conjunction with the Monroe Reads Together book selection, “The Boys on the Boat,” the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library is hosting a miniature boat building craft event on Monday, March 28, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The activity is open to all ages. County Executive Cuts Ribbon On Rockleigh Physical Therapy Area Thursday ROCKLEIGH, N.J. – Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco will be on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon as the Bergen County Health Care Center officially opens its new physical therapy section on Thursday at 10 a.m. The Health Care Center, a 110-bed skilled nursing facility situated on 52 wooded acres in northeast Bergen County, provides 24-hour assistance, including hospice and palliative care, to residents. The facility is located at 35B Piermont Road.

Average Port Authority Pay Exceeds $100K The average Port Authority of New York and New Jersey employee was paid $100,253 during 2015, up from $97,673 in 2014, according to the latest data accumulated by a non-partisan, Albany-based think tank. Ramapo Police Charge Monsey Man With Marijuana Possession RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police have arrested a 36-year-old resident of Monsey on a marijuana possession charge. A Ramapo police officer responded to a report of a suspicious occupied van in Pomona about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to officials. Yorktown Teen Charged With Possession Of Marijuana YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested an 18-year-old resident of Yorktown on a possession of marijuana charge. Shelton City Yard Closed For Good Friday SHELTON, Conn. -- Paul J. DiMauro, director of Public Works, has announced that the Shelton City Yard will be closed on Good Friday, March 25. The Shelton Transfer Station, however, will remain open for regular hours, and will also be open on Saturday, March 26. Trash and recyclables will be collected as usual on Friday.
