New Round Of Thunderstorms Takes Aim At Northeast: Here's Timing, 5-Day Forecast
A new round of thunderstorms is on track for the region after a pleasant, dry start to the day.
According to the National Weather Service, after a sunny start on Wednesday, May 29, clouds will increase in the afternoon. The high temperature will be in the mid-70s.
The storm chance will start from west to east in the middle of the afternoon, with showers and storms more likely in the evening.
About a quarter to a half-inch inch of rainfall is expected from the system, with locally higher amounts possible.

Tornadoes Possible, Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For All Of NJ, Parts Of PA
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all of New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania to close out Memorial Day.
The NWS said tornadoes, heavy rain, and wind gusts up to 65 mph were possible through 9 p.m.
The first round of storms came early Monday morning, May 27.

As of press time, more than 600 Bedminster, NJ residents were without power, according to JCP&L. It was not immediately clear if that outage was caused by the storm, though.

Fast-Moving Storm Knocks Power To Thousands Across North Jersey
A fast-moving round of thunderstorm knocked power to thousands of New Jersey residents Thursday morning, May 23.
PSEG was reporting approximately 2,000 outages in Bergen County (1,156 in New Milford, 398 in Paramus); 2,341 in Essex County (983 in Caldwell, 448 in West Caldwell); 1,230 in Gloucester County (1,206 in Woodbury City).
JCP&L was reporting approximately 1,300 in Franklin Township, where a downed tree closed Route 57.

Many coastal areas of New Jersey are under the threat of moderate flooding during high tides over the weekend, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood warning on Friday, May 10 for coastal parts of Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, and Ocean counties. A coastal flood advisory was issued for oceanfront areas of Middlesex and Monmouth counties, as well as bayfront and riverfront parts of Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem counties.

Coastal Flood Warning In Effect For Jersey Shore Due To Offshore Storm, Full Moon
Many parts of New Jersey are under a coastal flood warning with an offshore storm and a full moon expected to fuel high tides, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service issued the coastal flood warning in Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties at 6 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 25. The NWS said the warning would be in effect until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 26.
