A Hudson Valley firefighter, US Army veteran, and young father is facing a long road to recovery after being struck by a wrong-way driver on the NJ Turnpike last weekend, loved ones say.
Guillermo Mollins, 39, of Poughkeepsie, was in a Honda sedan when he was struck by a Ford pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Bruce Canfield, of Pottstown, PA, who was traveling south in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike early Saturday, Jan. 3, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

A longtime and well-loved Connecticut high school teacher and mother has died after a long battle with cancer, and the community she served is now rallying to support her family.
Cecilia Vicente Prytko taught computer science at East Lyme High School. She was described in her obituary as a source of strength, kindness, and positivity for her students, co-workers, friends, and family.
Outside the classroom, Cecilia was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Chris, and their two children, Karolina and Julian. Friends said her family always came first.
