Vehicle Sought In Pipe Assault Robbery, Newark Police Says
A man was assaulted with a pipe and robbed in Newark on the early morning of Friday, May 31, authorities said.
At 3:41 a.m., two men and a woman struck the man with a metal pipe in his head, face, back and arm on the 400 block of North 5th Street, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
The trio took the man's iPhone, $700 in cash and then fled in a silver 2006 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck with New Jersey license plate P97RBZ, Fragé said.

The Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a pair of crashes that may involve a light-colored pickup truck that was seen near both crashes.
The first crash took place around 1:09 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, on Interstate 84 in New Britain when a vehicle driven by Carl Neal, of Hartford, lost control and hit the metal guide rail, said the Connecticut State Police.
